Yesterday the temperature reached 101.8 degrees on our balcony, in the shade! No amount of air-conditioning could cool our third-floor apartment. So, we drank gallons of iced water as we sat in front of strategically placed fans. We couldn’t help but wonder how our ancestors fared without the modern conveniences of air-conditioning and electric fans. I am extremely thankful for fans!
